| Food stays moist & juicy - can be served on the Plank! |
Cedar Baking Plank Large
Baking on wood is a healthy, low fat way of cooking. The porous surface of the plank absorbs moisture at room temperature which transfers when cooking to give a moist, juicy and flavorful result. In case of cracking there are two bolts which run through the width if the plank - these must be kept tight.
The baking planks come in two sizes and are easy to clean. The baking plank can be re-used frequently. Full instructions and 7 recipes come on the packaging.
Add subtle flavor to all of your favorite foods without any additional fat or oil.
Simple to use • easy & convenient cleanup

| Baking Plank Instructions: | Season the plank with 1 tablespoon of olive oil in the hollowed out area before you use it for the first 8 times. This will help to stop the cracking. if cracks appear, tighten the stainless steel rods which go through the center of the plank by using a socket wrench.
Position the Baking Plank on the rack in the middle of the oven so that cooking is even. Set the oven to BAKE and the temperature to 350°, then place the plank in the cold oven to heat slowly. Allow plank to heat for 10 minutes before placing food into the hollowed area. Set the oven to the required temperature for the recipe after the plank has been heated. Cooking times will vary. Faster cooking will not always enhance the flavor.
Use running water and dish washing soap, with a soft bristled brush for cleaning after use. CAUTION: The Baking Plank will be hot when taken from the oven - use oven mitts or a pot holder. DO NOT leave Baking Plank unattended when it is in the oven. Baking on a wooden plank has many benefits. Your food will be juicy, have more flavor, and be less prone to nutrient loss. No extra fat or salt should be used. |
